"Notice how often the Democrat Party sells out the loyal African-American."

You smart hombre.

Two things at work. One, over the past two or three days MSM has been broaching the topic of "local" mistakes. The Dem money elite talking points counter attacked by pointing to the mayor. He will lose. He doesn't have the PR resources, Dems will abandon him.

Two, future money. If "Hugs" Blanco looks unclean, fed money into state coffers will be harder to gain.

Tancredo's right. No state or local officials should hold the pursestrings to fed reconstruction money. Nagin is reputedly honest, but certainly other local pols aren't.

What is Nagin's story? Anyone know. I know he supported Jindel for Governor and Blanco hates him for it... other than that... what is his story?

Tancredo's right. No state or local officials should hold the pursestrings to fed reconstruction money.

That's very much like the Orleans Parish School Board, which was taken over in July 2005 by a management restructuring firm named Alvarez & Marsal.

The Board Superintendent had been effectively replaced by a professional CEO from A&M, and the pursestrings have been tightened all the way around.

I agree that Louisiana and N.O. officials should be very carefully watched or even prevented from touching the funds.
