Parker made national news when Lexington school officials refused his request to notify him when adults were discussing homosexuality or transgenderism with his son in kindergarten At least 200 pro-gay counter-demonstrators supporting his ban from school property first gathered at the nearby Visitor's Center, and then lined Bedford Street (bordering the Battle Green) with anti-Parker signs and slogans.
There is no way I would send my child to a public school in Masachusetts.

Let it be known that the school district violated state law by not informing Mr. Parker of the inclusion of Homosexuality into the curriculum. It is also a violation of state law to retaliate against parents and their children that wish to withdraw from the class. All city employees who participated in the protest aimed at Mr. Parker violated that law.

Homosexual Agenda Ping.
What really amazes me is that so many people - and unfortunately some here on FR claiming to be conservatives - do not see the homosexual activists for what they are.
They say they want "tolerance" but they won't tolerate anyone who disagrees with their plans.
They claim they just want "respect" but they have no respect for others who do not share their POV.
They spout words like "diversity" but they really want complete and total obediance to their program, no dissention allowed.
Shades of Nazism.
Freepmail me if you want on/off this pinglist.

Ping.
Pro-homosexual activists hold counter-demonstration to intimidate David Parker rally participants, and support his ban from all school property. Elected officials and local clergy take part. It's utterly amazing how obsessed these people are, and how possessed by their intolerance.

Getting started. First, they gathered in front of the Visitors' Center across the street. It appears a podium was set up for speakers.

In our faces. After that, they lined up along Bedford Street, right across from the Parker gathering, to hold signs, intimidate, etc.

Outpouring of public anger and intolerance. The line stretched over a block long. It included very young kids, adolescents, and adults.

Raising kids to hate others. Rev. Bill Clark again, along the street. The kids' signs have particularly insidious messages: "Support ALL Our Children, Families, Schools" and "Anyone Can Go to School." Note that these imply that David Parker does not support all children, and that he believes that not everyone can go to school. This is the angry mindset these people have, and they're transmitting it to young children.

Top elected school official. Lexington School Committee Chairman Helen Cohen was not pleased to get her picture taken by us as she demonstrated against David Parker, and she turned her sign aside so we couldn't see it.

[...] continuation of a no-trespass order by the Town of Lexington against David Parker, banning the parent of a 6-year-old from all school property. Parker made national news when Lexington school officials refused his request to notify him when adults were discussing homosexuality or transgenderism with his son in kindergarten
[...]
As the Parker supporters lined the other side of Bedford street and held their signs, it seemed that the anger of the pro-gay activists increased considerably. One Parker sign-holder was spat on as he walked past a 12-year-old girl. Insults were hurled. As one witness observed, "You could see the look in their eyes, even the kids. It was eerie. They really can't stand us, as if we're polluting their town just by being here."
[...]
he was almost immediately surrounded by uniformed Lexington police officers, who soon ordered him back across the street, away from the area, and did not allow him to be interviewed, even off camera [...] Tolerance and diversity bump!

We've got most of ours out of public schools and are working on getting the rest out.
There is only so much of this nonsense you can take. The schools aren't going to take us seriously unless they have to compete for students, so I think building alternative education sources should be job one for churches and anyone else out there that has a building and some vision.

In this case, such an action would be homophobic. That might be illegal there or a hate crime.

Did they ever remove Martin Luther King, Jr. for his own protection?
The civil rights of David Parker to peacefully congregate were violated by the unruly response of the pro-gay agitators.
