Why does he look like a donkey, a dem symbol, in the cartoon?

I noticed the "chappatte" image labeled the helicopter "Air Force One".

The helicopter is actually "Marine One".

WRONG! There are few GOP seats in danger, but quite a number of Dem ones, in '06.

Hillary just might not even run in '08 and if she does, she can't expect to just shuck and jive in a national election, as she did last time out in N.Y., for the Senate seat.

Check out how cartoonists treated Lincoln in his day.

I wondered about that as well. Used as a representation of being a puppet? Pinocchio grew long donkey ears, on the island of lost boys.

That the cartoonist thinks that the president is an ass?

No matter WHAT the imagery is supposed to mean, it doesn't fit at all.

Condi is beautiful. It's clear that Hachfeld thinks she is not...otherwise, he could not draw such a cartoon.

Hachfeld's cartoon is the nastiest of the bunch...it is from a German newspaper so evidently has been translated from German. Perhaps an American newspaper would draw the line at actually printing the "N-word" like that.

Cagle's collection of cartoons is heavily tilted to the left normally, but he seems to have gone out of his way to assemble only anti-Bush cartoons in this case (although in fact one or two of these are mocking the Bush-bashers).

I could be wrong - but wasn't The Grand Kleagle Byrd the last politician to use the "N" word publically? I don't remember the exact details but didn't he use it on some news program a few years back?

Believe me, I hope I'm wrong. I didn't say the Dems would win but that they just might.
