I tred to send a email to Mr(gag) Wexler....but his email system is undergoing an upgrade....how convenient

Hopefully it had to be upgraded to handle the crush of e-mails telling him to take a long walk off a short pier! (would like to say it stronger, but trying to stay in FR guidlines!!)

Sorry, I stand corrected (thanks for the photo reminder). They do sound alike though. Waxman is so much more irritating just because of these naris (nose holes).

You can see the man's ethmoid and frontal sinuses freely, no scope needed. He must be a EENTs dream patient.

Since 2003 he's had 164 emergency responses.

So you really don't know what FEMA is supposed to do but that's not going to slow you from criticizing.

I'll bet he's willing to give you back the three cents of his salary that you pay. If he won't, I will.

As the director of FEMA, Under Secretary Brown should not only be in the business of responding to natural disasters, but should have put in place critical preventative measures and contingency plans that would have better enabled local, state and federal officials ...

Cart before horse.

Read the law, you dope. FEMA has performed well, within what it is authorized and tasked to do.

Now, read the Louisana law regarding emergencies. It's on this site. See how Rockin' Ray and the Governette performed. Hint:

Went like this..

When in danger, or in doubt,
Run in circles, scream and shout.

(Or hold a press conference.)

Maybe a couple more letters to those who DID screw the pooch on this are in order.

Did I say that I did not know what FEMA was not supposed to do? My initial criticism was never about FEMA's actions or inactions. It was about the fact that he was utterly uninformed of a situation that was all over the news. That is inexcusable.

And how does FEMA define "164 emergency responses?" As an attorney, I could say that I have helped "hundreds of people" because I've done intake interviews, been able to give some advice and send them on their way. So the statement would technically be true, even though it would not in any way square with what the average individual thinks it means.

America is telling Boca Raton to fire their "congressperson", because we're not sure how much of a man Wexler is.

"Republicans had better recognize fast that the Demagogues are going to war over this...."

Never bring a memo to a gunfight.

The Dems have no chance of making political points about this - most Americans couldn't tell you who the head of FEMA is, what FEMA does, and couldn't care less besides.

All they'll see are a bunch of shrill pansies getting their knickers in a twist while the other side (viz, us) are actually doing something useful.

You must be a shoddy attorney if you don't know how they define an "Emergency Response" since that is a technical term that opens the door for grants, loans and other aid.

C'mon, do some research and quit showing us how ignorant and inept you are.

Your idea of what is 'inexcusable' is totally invalid in light of your inexcusable ignorance.

164 responses.....It seems that since 2003 he's had more experience than you or me.

Great credentials! Any army private has had more experience than I have, that doesn't qualify him for Head of Joint Chiefs...

This wexler twit (and, yes, the lower case "w" is well deserved by now), has needed a good swift kick in the ass ever since his comments while sitting on the judiciary committee for Slick's impeachment.

And if not for that event, then certainly for the Election 2000 debacle in Florida with all the fake dissenfranchisement calls he authorized his voters to call and complain about.

This is one slim bag who single-handedly helped to divide this country. A great Klintoon understudy, IMO. These rats keep coming out of the woodwork and walls. When will we ever get a handle on political pest control?

I would love to see the President say to him:

"And I should pay any attention to you...why?"

Brown servedUnder Secretary Brown has led Homeland Security’s response to more than 164 presidentially declared disasters and emergencies, including the 2003 Columbia Shuttle disaster and the California wildfires in 2003.

And you want to compare his experience to that of an Army private?

He's been in place for more than a minute or two. You don't even know what he's SUPPOSED to do, yet you don't hesitate to criticize as if you do.

The Democrats want someone fired fast - and Bush better be smart enough to not satisfy their request. The problem with the impassioned frenzy that the Democrats are displaying right now is that it will actually lead to an investigation which will turn over the facts. And it's clear at this point that the facts - the objective facts of this matter - will decimate the New Orleans Mayor and the Louisiana Governor. Bring it on.

I know that when a government body wants to inflate its stats, it can bend the definition of terms any way it wishes.

And you still have not explained how it is acceptable that my eight year old niece watching the news was better informed than Brown.
