You know where to find Rush.
I have been watching the White House Press Briefing and I thought these idiots were bad re: Rove, Bolton, Iraq..
THEY ARE READY TO BRING OUT THE NOOSE FOR BUSH TODAY!!!
Even my ultra-liberal brother (who blames Bush and the Feds for all this Dem-created mess) was saying, Saturday, that looters should be shot on sight.
Did you ask your brother if he hated black people? (sarcasm)
I can't stand some of the short Rush segments.
Hasn't it been known from the beginning that Pres. Bush and the Hurricane Center at NOAA, had to call the Governor and the Mayor and DEMAND they order an evacuation???
Why then is O'Reilly saying that the Governor had to call Bush on Saturday to get help in ordering help????
I don't think I have read/heard anywhere that the Gov. had to tell Bush to help!
I'm not sure. I do remember first hearing the term - Bush's 2002 State of the Union maybe? It made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
Then come to find out the term "homeland security" had been kicking around for quite awhile. And you just know there was some sort of consolidation plan in place, considering the speed with which the "department" ws created following 9/11.
I never looked in ernest for the pre-planning documents, but they no doubt exist. I did find this summary just now, googling `"homeland security" & creation`.
Why was the Office of Homeland Security created? While many federal, state, and local entities were already dealing with the threat of terrorism in the United States, no single agency was responsible for domestic security. Earlier terrorist attacks--especially the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, the 1995 bombing of an Oklahoma City federal building, and the 1995 sarin gas attack in the Tokyo subway system--sparked discussions about the need for such an office, and before September 11, several blue-ribbon commissions and congressional leaders recommended that the federal government create one. Nevertheless, homeland security remained low on the political radar screen--until the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
Maybe it's time to put red ribbons or "I support our President" stickers on our cars.
Or Bumper stickers that say, "Bush called -- and Nagin and Blanco stalled."
They are overplaying their hand. I smell memogate again once the truth starts seeping into thick heads.
Someone said it best. HSG is all brains and now brawn.
Poor Scott McClellan should have come out for this briefing with a HAZMAT uniform on!!!
UH oh
'
Nancy Pelosi on C-span 2 now LIVE, bashing Bush about him ordering the hurricane to kill poor black people.../s
Anyone hear Leaky Leahy's "Why the hell" tirade on the WABC news segment?
He needs to be concentrating on tying the can to the tail of the local and state governments in Louisiana.
Excellent pictures. Thanks for posting them. It makes it clear where the fault lies. Nagin fled to Baton Rouge Wednesday, when a couple days ago if he had used those HUNDREDS of busses to ferry food and water to the Dome and the Coliseum, and then when they're unloaded, load them with people, and take some of them to the nursing homes and hospitals to get tens of thousands of people out of the city. You do that Mr. Mayor, and you don't have to flee your city because it's not safe for you. Nagin is a MORON of previously undiscovered proportions!
I thought the current democrat line was that Bush had not bothered to call Blanco at all before all of this:
CNN LARRY KING LIVE
Hurricane Katrina
Aired August 30, 2005 - 21:00 ET
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0508/30/lkl.01.html
BLANCO: Well, I've been in touch with the president. He's called often before the storm and after the storm. I know he's helping Haley. He's helping Louisiana. He's helping Mississippi. We're in desperate need. I've never seen anything like this. We've seen lots of hurricanes on this coastline here in Louisiana and Mississippi. We've got a lot of friends al along the coast, Florida, Alabama and Mississippi.
We know what it's like, but this is not a normal hurricane experience. I've never witnessed anything like this.
KING: This would not be a good time for the president to come?
BLANCO: You know, he may come for a helicopter tour. You have a hard time landing in any, you know, maybe one or two places you can actually land, but, you know, I think it would be important for him to see firsthand, although I think the video is powerful, you know, what we're seeing on television is powerful. It's just the magnitude.
I really hate to admit this, but...
I just finished watching the worst WH Press Briefing I have ever seen re: bashing Bush..
and now you have Pelosi and half of the Cong. Black Caucus on, one by one "crying" over the failure of Bush re; the hurricane and the poor people...
And, here goes...I am a bout to cry..seriously cry. I don't think I can take any more of the press and politicians doing this yet again to a man that I believe truly has done everything he can do to protect the country...and help the citizens...
I am sick of it!!!
And don't get me started on the racist aspects of this.
It is also going to be IMPOSSIBLE to say any of that at the next election.
Nagin's and Blanco's ads will toot how much THEY were leaders in a crisis.
Will there be a LA swift vets like campaign? or will the MSM label them a hate group.
He'd probably think to himself..."She's trying to find out if I am racist like her."
I guess I have to find the right moment to explain to him that I left the Democratic party because of the way Clarence Thomas was treated by the libs and the media. I watched the hearings and was ashamed to be a Democrat.
I didn't get to see it, but I hear you. I have been so mad that I don't dare talk to any leftist idiots spewing their bile.
Hang in there, the truth will win, just be patient.
