US actor Sean Penn bales water out of a boat with a plastic cup as he and members of his entourage make an attempt to rescue stranded people in New Orleans. Efforts by Penn to aid New Orleans victims stranded by Hurricane Katrina foundered badly Sunday, when the boat he was piloting to launch a rescue attempt sprang a leak. Penn had planned to rescue children waylaid by Katrina's flood waters, but apparently forgot to plug a hole in the bottom of the vessel, which began taking water within seconds of its launch(AFP/Nicholas Kamm)

This was an overloaded boat, complete with a photographer. Literally show boating. Only problem was, they forgot about the plug. There was no room for any victims on this ship of fools.

Probably forgot to put the drain plug in. That is one of the problems with trying to help when you don't have a clue. You become just one more idiot that needs to be rescued.

A few of us noted yesterday that this peanut brain shell of a many probably forgot to put the drain plug back in.

Which leads one to wonder why the boat was ever released from the trailer, or cast off from the dock before the motor was started.
Which reinforces my original statment that when people without a clue try to help, they end up as just another group of idiots who need to be rescued.
