Everybody knows that one of the many disadvantages that "African Americans" have in this country is their susceptibility to health problems due to centuries of oppression by Da Man. Certainly he can't be held accountable for that, can he? Maybe he can be pardoned.

Brown filed a racial discrimination lawsuit in August 2001 against the University. The lawsuit claimed that Brown met all the qualifications for a higher position for which he had applied, but that he was passed over in favor of a less qualified candidate, who was white.

He dropped the suit in 2002, claiming "The lawsuit had done what I wanted it to do, and that was to tell the world that UH allows some of its employees to discriminate. I got that message out.".

Prosecutors claim Brown, a professor of African-American studies and an academic adviser to the athletic department before his arrest and dismissal in January 2004, skimmed at least $1,500 from cash he received while returning student-athletes' textbooks to a UH bookstore in December 2003.

I'd also think those students who were reportedly shorted when Brown ran that errand, would be complaining.
