Are you kidding??? They have to screen these people! I just wish texas treated illegal immigrants coming across the border with same cautiousness they are treating the evacuees.
Whoraldo wading through the muck in New Orleans. What a showboat. What is that supposed to prove? I think FoxNews can adequately convey that the water in New Orleans is filthy without having Whoraldo wade through it.
It is a barrier. We don't want armed thugs that slipped through the cracks in LA to get out into the wild in Texas to ravage our state. We don't need that, we don't want that, and it's not going to happen if we do what makes sense.
There have already been multiple arrests of wanted and escapees from NO in TX at the screening points. Check this and other threads for info as to other stuff.
We are *NOT* going to tolerate foolishness.
Once the refugees are cleared through the checkpoint, they are wrmly welcomed by cheerful sympathetic aid workers who say something like "Welcome to Texas! Sorry about that, but you understand that we have to take precautions after everything that's gone on. What do you need? How can we help?"
We have to welcome them this way. We will not tolerate the violent horsesh*t the way that NO does. And these people have been in extremely unsanitary conditions, the hypo-allergenic gloves are blue. No symbolism in it. We are not so naive as to think that all of these folks evacuated from the church choir section. We will seperate the vicious ones from everyone else. It is the right thing to do. Anyone that has an issue with how we welcome these folks to Texas, is encouraged to pound sand.
