I have a friend who, several years ago, attended a convention there at the convention center. Came home an dended up with a bacterial infection that attacked her heart muscle and had to have major surgery as a result. This was a woman in her 50's and in good health and the doctors said the timing was close enought that they felt she picked it up in NOLA -- due to mold.
If any place in the world was moldy, NO was...some things I think about second nature as mold prevention things, my kids think I'm crazy about in this dry climate...
