Sounds like some of the military that Bush is ordering into New Orleans needs to be spread around to other communities that are having problem with people that just DO NOT know how to act....
The squeaky wheel gets the grease, and all of the complaining is coming from New Orleans (I know, it IS the worse off), but people in Miss. and Alabama need help also.
Just like those Vietnamese mentioned in above posts...they are waiting patiently for their turns...so no one knew of their plight...
It is the people that are doing their best, and being aware of what is going on around them, that I want to help.
There was a Vietnamese gentleman interviewed early on that had lost everything. He was in Miss., I think. He was very positive...said he came here with nothing and built a life and he'll do it again.
There is something so sad about the people that would sit on a bridge for 4 days, totally at a loss about how to help themselves. Just sitting and waiting for someone to tell them what to do.....
