No, but hysteria from the reporters can make it worse in the convention center.
And it still remains we can only do so much to rescue people. It's easy to sit here and say get it done, but that follows the assumption people aren't working as hard as possible to reach everyone.
The simple harsh truth is they chose to stay, the Governor and mayor were incompetant, and these are the consequences. We aren't superheros that can snap fingers and restore and rescue in seconds.
In other news I just saw a Red Cross commercial on TV for hurricane Katrina. So I guess they can whip up a commercial real quick huh!
But if you don't have the pressure from those reporters, the people won't feel their needs are addressed at all.
