If you don't know how to use one, or you are a small female, I would not recommend it.
I would advise you to try and partner up with someone who is capable. I know that sounds stupid (trying to find a partner), but you could get hurt.
I'm a female, I know how to use a weapon because I was taught beforehand.

Why buy just one? They're like tools. What's good for one task may not be suitable for another. Exercise your 2nd rights often.
