Oh yes, and let me add to that list: locate sites for shelters that weren't under water or destroyed by the hurricane, line up enough buses from every place imaginable to get the people out, make sure there is FUEL for those buses, get emergency services started, try to do something about the levee breaches, arrange for pumping the water out of the city after the breaches are fixed, tell the Salvation Army and the Red Cross where they can begin setting up, get the trucks loaded and headed off to the newly located shelter sites, and on top of all that try to locate the mayor who has disappeared and the governor who is so busy appearing on various TV programs that she can't be bothered to call up the Guard.

Water and food just arrived at the Levi Strauss shelter.

6 more jet planes due to arrive at the airport with evacuees from NO. If I have counted correctly this will make about 18 planes that have landed there since I've been listening to the scanner. I would guess that translates to about 3600 people evacuated tonight to San Antonio.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep it in mind if I hear any more Bush bashing. Just forums, you know...like for model trains or how to make meatloaf, only about climbing. Naturally there's a few more lefties hanging around them, more trees to hug I guess, but they wised up in a hurry.

I don't hear NBC doing any bragging about the revenues from the concert tonight.

Agenda or no, I'm guessing they wish they could kick Mr. Mouth's...contract...around the block.

Well I tuned in off and on and it was like the Philadelphia-England thing.All they did was talk and talk and talk.I missed Mouth as most of the world did because it was so boring and staged.Salvation Army here we come.

I cannot stop thinking of the MANY poor souls in attics.

I did see someone on TV (not sure who) before the storm, say don't go into your attics without some tools to break through onto the roof. But I imagine a lot of people didn't get that message, or just didn't pay enough attention to what was coming.
