When I people making all kinds of wild comments about this and that it, I don't think that they have any idea how poor many of the impacted states and counties are. They simply don't have the resources that a New York or a California has. If you have never visited the deep South your really totally ignorant of the situation there.

I knew that Mississippi was well down there. It makes the contrast between Long Beach, where people shopped for the food after the hurricane, and New Orleans, where they looted for anything they could carry, that much more shocking.
