I really felt for that man. I was sympathetic to him because he was reacting the way I would hope to react. Part of my prayers each night is that God give me a merciful spirit this is hard in the face of interviewees complaining about "army food" at the SD. I was so angry at that lady and hollered "you're WELCOME!" at the TV. But that wasn't a WWJD moment for me. Lord, please give me a merciful spirit.

I just read about a little boy who was being bussed out of the Superdome to the Astrodome. He had a little dog and the authorities couldn't allow him to take it with him. The cop confiscated his dog and put the boy on the bus. The boy wept and cried "Sbnowball" as the dog was taken away forever.

I have just officially reaching my breaking point on this. This is without question the greatest US catastrophe of our time. It is a nightmare and we will all never be the same. 9/11 was horrible and changed things forever. But this is deterioration from within and I'm not sure our republic will survive it intact.
