In Memphis a couple of years ago, we had a huge wide swath of straight line winds come through. We have more trees here per sq ft. than any other city in the country. You can imagine what the destruction was like. Our Democrat mayor ran off to another state on personal business, and left the city to fend for itself.
How dare any Democrat blame G. Bush

I remember that; we had 80 mph winds here once; really, really scarey.

That bears repeating. They have elected leaders at all levels. It seems they're avoiding their responsibilities and trying to blame it all on President Bush. All the feds can and should do is ask what do they need and where do they need it. The local leaders know their areas better than Washington does.
