I keep thinking about all of the logistics it took for our family group of 21 to get to Galveston and climb onto a cruise ship. You'd be amazed at the planning for disasters we do in healthcare, then. Every single evening, at a designated time, every hospital or medical facility calls into a center with stats on available beds and what kind, the amount of blood and other equipment on hand, and more. All in codes. A designated command keeps track of all the information until the next night at the same time, when it is reported once again.

Oh, yeah. I know. I'm just agreeing that this undertaking is so monumental that we have a hard time comprehending the magnitude. Whether a family vacation, a hospital, an aircraft carrier...mutliply it exponentially to include millions of people in 4 states. Incredible.
