I just listened on a national trucking radio show to a driver who is at a staging area some distance away from NO, on contract with FEMA. He says that they keep trying to send convoys in with supplies, and once they get close the convoys keep getting shot at, forcing them to turn around.

That pretty much sounds like the coverage today on the media. The same was being said about the rescue boats. Something has to be done to stop this nonsense, and quick.

I can't help but wonder if there isn't something more to this violence than just common criminals and desparate flood victims. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, or maybe it's just late, but I am considering the possibility that something like U.S. born Castro/Chavez (or whatever) operatives are setting up a beach-head in Louisiana using the cover of this storm/flood. Nah, can't be. Can it?
