Well, it's just as well that it's finally out in the open for all to see.
12:19 pm Finally!
This convoy coming down the street is loaded with supplies. I see MREs and water and I assume ice.
Ok, so the troops used to restore order went in first and now the supplies are coming for orderly distribution (I hope).
Hope is on the way for the people at the Convention Center. Finally.

Venus Williams announced that she will donate $100 for each ace she serves up for the rest of the year.
On Wednesday night, that added up to $200 in the 6-2, 6-2 win over unseeded Catalina Castano of Colombia. Williams, sparkling in another pair of $40,000 diamond earrings and a diamond necklace, will face No. 25 Francesca Schiavone in the third round.

Is it just me, or does he have the tiniest eyes for a head that size?
I looked for the specific article for about a half hour. It wasn't in my history: someone must have posted it entirely on one of the threads, probably live threads, the last couple days. Sorry.
There are tons of articles about how the Sierra Club and envirowhackos have fought the Corps, though... Googling "Corps Sierra Club 1998 levees" and modifications and additions will show you many. I'd appreciate a ping if anybody comes up with any really great comprehensive articles about how difficult they've made life for the Corps and our getting people safe.
I have to run off now until late evening...
I totally understand what you mean.
I just shudder at the thought of Kerry handling this situation.
Thanks for looking.
I pay for the bandwidth used to post that photo, and you just doubled it.
I woulda said that for past two days but now I am on java and DSL, so it's
"scr*w u, dialup users" Just kidding.

Get a grip. It came over the scanner. Take it up with the NG.....and all those hostage takers reading this thread.
Staff Sgt. Scott Dean, of Louisville, walks along a convoy of trucks from the Kentucky National Guard preparing to leave the Boone National Guard Center in Frankfort , Ky., for Camp Shelby, Miss., to help Hurricane Katrina victims, Friday, Sept. 2, 2005.
LOL---you know that's right!!!
I think that I have to quit listening...unfortunately, there is Bush bashing everywhere today!!
2nd request - please use common sense when posting photos in this forum.
Ah. I'll ask the moderators to delete the post.
The entire metro area of NO is 1.5 million. Somebody said only half left? Who was that? Those around the dome and convention center are about 60,000.
I've taken that train thru NO and hated that high bridge. To cross over it now........
What a caring and decent man! It is a shame some people can't realize it.
I hesitate to ask for detail and will not make puns, but if you mean the Rev?
Answer - yes.
