1] ohioWfan, Do you know what "hyperbole" is?

2] Do you know how much hyperbole has been stated on these threads for the last week?

3] Must you bother the Admin Moderator?

We should be thanking the mods for allowing us to express the truth about what is going on, unlike the MSM that continues to underreport the real horrific stories.

Censorship is a very bad thing.

Not understanding hyperbole is embarrassing, isn't it?

This program they are showing on the history of this on Discovery is very good... shows the big flood of '27 that led to the dams and locks.

"bus them 50 miles away and land them at a big McDonalds. Go back and get some more. Bring them 60 miles away and land them at a large movie complex. Go back get some more, and bring them to a different place, a shopping mall. go back and get some more. JUST GET THEM OUT OF THERE.

Then do your planning. "

I'm in 100 % agreement. It seems stupendously simple to me. I've got to believe ANY PLACE in America is going to be better than the God-forsaken city of NO. I'm praying they can isolate the scumbag looters and leave them behind though. This ordeal is just sickening.

The whole thing is beyond imagination, Peach. I can't grasp it's horror.

I want to hear from my dear friend in New Orleans, and the others I know well from Gulfport.

I knew this was coming, as unless they were going to put people in the rafters or a seat to each person, how would it work with 25,000 there? I think officials would be more inclined to feel comfortable with this knowing that other Texas cities have also opened shelters.

Windows didn't open? I wonder why no one broke a few windows to let in some air. There could be a reasonable explanation, just wondering.

They will probably be taken to Dallas or San Antonio. I saw it stated earlier that Texas is taking 25,000 to each of those locations.

I can see why that post was yanked, but I'll answer you question anyway. LOL.

I did see the Hastert comment earlier today, and the three major items I listed in my Post #1805 were taken from a reply I posted on one of those threads earlier today.

Okay, dawn; I found out what I wanted to know from your map.

All these people that are saying that it's been FOUR DAYS and no help has arrived, listen up:

Hurricane Katrina was STILL in the state of Mississippi at 1.m. Wednesday morning, just moving into Tennessee!

Now, were they suppose to fly/drive into a hurricane to help the people who refused to leave?

75-150 miles is too close for pre-positioned supplies, in my opinion.

In this storm the damage continued at least that far inland, but more importantly, you don't know what routes will be servicable after the storm. Too close, and you run the risk of your best route being destroyed, meaning you h then have to backtrack and go way around, typically through the damage swath.

Beyond that, you might ask FEMA, I'm just not the expert on this. Careful how you phrase your question. All the FEMA types I've dealt with had more of an "aura" than the Secret Service.

We had a freeper whose son was on the ground in NO on those boats trying to rescue people from roofs and was shot at.

We have freepers who think looters should be shot on sight (I fall into that category unless they are stealing food and water) and freepers who think it's just plain evil to shoot someone without having a trial (yes, that's just how it was written). LOL

We argue and agree and post news as it comes up on the main thread and try to determine if we're at a tipping point and when/if things will get better.

I'm sure others can give you a better flavor of what goes on here; we're just trying to get a handle on the worst disaster to hit the United States since the Civil War.

Not understanding hyperbole is embarrassing, isn't it?

YOU are an embarrassment.

And using violent 'hyperbole' on a thread like this is evil.

Why don't you try maturing a few decades before you come back and post again?
