3) A few hardy souls who actually have some understanding of markets, how they work, and how market based solutions are the best, even in a time of crisis. And who don't give a d*mn that God forbade usury.

So you don't believe in charging interest...which is what "usury" means in Biblical sense.

And who don't give a d*mn that God forbade usury... RE: yes, let's take this into account.
I am NOT against price gouging because I do not believe in enforced altruism, although it is a certainty that there would much less price gounging (playing the devil advocate here) if there no government monopoly at all.
The govt still is the first price gouger after all by the fact that it enforced usury and banking interest doom an economy in the long run, always make predictions and estimate go wrong. No taking this into account is futile and vain... especially if you're against price gouging or a price gouger yourself.

God forbade usury.zdravzvoitze comrad. I'm with you! Let's have price controls and Soviet style lines and shortages. I'd much rather have no gas at all priced at $2.60/gal than plenty of gas to $4.00/gal. < /sarcasm>

And who don't give a d*mn that God forbade usury. What does charging excessive interest rates have to do with this article.

And who don't give a d*mn that God forbade usury. The same God that just did this to the Gulf Coast? That God? Or maybe you're thinking of some other God?
Oh, the irony.

And who don't give a d*mn that God forbade usury. Then God shouldn't have sent the hurricane into the Gulf Coast.
Prices are simply a measure of relative worth when comparing goods, and work to adjust supply/demand when allowed to work.
Commies don't want them to work. Your God sounds like a commie.
