I was wondering about school buses, I'm sure it would be good to get them out of the way of the hurricane and they could transport a lot of people too.

I think the reality is probably lack of planning.

I think the mayor is still in denial.... or (since I live in a tourism-oriented-town) not wanting to scare off tourists by -- gasp -- giving them the truth!

According to the radio program I heard they were using buses to transport to the dome.
