What memo?
Oh, thank you!!
WOW! I filled up my propane tank this afternoon for the grill and also my car's.
Gas producers here in OK are going to be falling off their wallets.
We know who we're talking to.
That's horrible.
They talked to the management company of the superdome. The roofing was replaced recently. They are confident it will survive Katrina intact. The reporter seemed skeptical at their boasting.
Well of course they are. Probably because I got my trusty Mod badge all shined up.
This was what the weather channel reported at the time I posted it... I see some of the floating buoys show rising and the one's closer to NO show it falling... I suspect it depends on which side of the eye the measurements being taken on.
Is there a point where authorities shut off the freeways out of NO thinking that if you haven't left yet, it's probably too late?
If there's still a back-up, it's not gonna get any better by sendign more cars on to the freeways.
Of where she was suppose to go.
I love it when you talk with a "deep voice". ooooeeeeee...tingle tingle. ;)
Phone report from Dome now ... almost about 10,000 inside the superdome, seems pretty happy in their now, lights and a/c on, MREs about to be handed out ... roof replaced in last few years ... a lot of searching was going on of people entering ... las time shelter used was in 98 Hurr. george ... people testy after 3 days, NG wasn't letting them leave even though sun was out ...
You miss the point!!!!!!!!! It is not about receipes, it is about staying sane while we wait to see if our loved ones are still going to be alive in the morning.
See this post, 754!
... elec & running water is a concern (per that briefing) ... all confident dome will survive (end of report).
The BURL1 is a Good One to watch,
It's at the tip, basically.

Updates on the hour.
Thanks, H-mama. that is especially welcome. Today she had a baby shower for a baby due in three weeks. She's now alone in Austin, TX waiting for a baby and now a husband who was to be home from the sea in 12 days. Our family drove 600 miles today to be with her. so tired tonight---can't imagine why I'm still able to follow these threads. I think watching NO is something like watching a train wreck and praying we won't be a part of it.
Praying and anxiously awaiting the latest news of Katrina.
eewwww, then I take back what I said about the "deep voice"....chena's embarrassed! LOL
YW. Been posting this info for a while, but it must get the point across better as an image.
Henceforth, I'll post maps when there's new data and significant change.
