Rangel Says VP Cheney May Not Be Healthy Enough Manhattan Democrat Sarcastic In Comments About White House

(AP) NEW YORK The dean of New York’s congressional delegation suggested in a television interview that Vice President Dick Cheney may not be healthy enough to perform his duties.

Rep. Charles Rangel was being interviewed on NY1, the New York City-based all-news channel, when he was asked Friday night whether he thought President Bush was taking too much vacation time this summer.

“Oh no, it makes the country a lot more safe,” the Manhattan Democrat said. “The further Bush is away from Washington, the better it is. And sometimes I don’t even think Cheney is awake enough to know what’s going on. Rumsfeld is the guy in Washington to watch. He’s running the country.”

“Cheney’s not awake enough?” reporter Davidson Goldin asked.

“Well, he’s a sick man you know,” Rangel said. “He’s got heart disease, but the disease is not restricted to that part of his body. He grunts a lot, so you never really know what he’s thinking.”

I thought haliburton was running the country. Damnit, I'm so confused.

Maybe Cheney should resign, and Dubya replace him with Jeb. Now that would REALLY piss off the Left!

Rangel continually says this kind of crap. Someone on the Republican side needs to come out and chop him down a bit.

Shortly after new officials are sworn in at the beginning of January 2007, perhaps Dick Cheney will tell a grateful nation that he can't keep up the schedule and will resign the Vice Presidency. He will recommend that the President appoint................................. Condi Rice. Of course, Cheney will stay on as a major advisor with pretty much the same duties. A sitting VP runs for the presidency in 2008.

Hey Comrade Rangel it's a ploy for which apparently you've fallen.

VP Cheney will resign in early 06 siting his health.
SOS Rice will be nominated and confirmed to become VP.
Incumbent VP Rice will kick the butt of Hillary your commiecRAT parties anointed evil one in 08.

I feel one heck of a lot safer with Dick Cheney a heartbeat away from the Presidency than I do relying on Charlie Fangel's intellect with regard to national security.

Wasn't is Rangel who started the false rumor about reinstituting the draft that the MSM ran with.

Small wager...Dick Cheney will more likely attend Charlie Rangel's funeral than the other way around.

That won't happen. George Bush is above all an honorable man. He would look at that as playing games with the office of the presidency, an office he reveres. We will have plenty of solid candidates for the primaries, and my personal thought is that Bush fatigue is a great liability for anyone attached to the present administration. My hope's on Gingrich.

I wonder how Rangel would do in a race against Cheney?

I bet Cheney is in much better physical shape than Charlie Rangel.
