I just don't understand these people. I've always been able to understand the other persons point of view, but in this case...I'm baffled. In talking to them it's all I can do to NOT say you're a (expletive deleted) clueless idiot.

This war is different. It truly is a battle of good vs. evil. In Vietnam, we were helping out another country for our indirect benefit; but in this war, the terrorists have hit us again and again, as well as London, Spain, Holland, and a multitude of points around the world.

Some of the protesters are stuck in the 60s and because they do not believe in God, are deriving self-righteous pride in protesting "war" that they are morally and physically unfit to fight, anyway. Others are truly evil. Others are just plain treasonous socialists who would use any excuse (believe me, they don't "support the troops" -- they don't give a ***k) to push their anti-American agenda.

I sympathize with the frustration of many of the posters here who wonder why our government doesn't prosecute treason and sedition. The answer is complicated and sad: after 40 years of Marxism in the universities trickling down to the teachers' unions, the "helping professions", the psych establishment and certainly the media, and after prayer having been chased out of school since the 60s and relentless ACLU persecution of religious expression, nearly half the nation simply hasn't a clue.

We still have to fight. The younger generations coming up are more conservative; they saw the damage done by hippies, divorce, AIDS and neglectful parents. They will read about our "forbidden" Constitution and Founding Fathers with the same zeal the 60s kids read underground lit. Generations alternate....
