Do you work in government?

No. I never have, nor do I work for any political party nor organization, in case you were wondering.

Anyone is free to try to convince the American government to change its policies

It is the American taxpaying citizen who directs government policymaking in a Constitutional government. The federal government must not create policy that effects domestic law based on the persuasions of internationl tribunals, councils or secretariats. In my experience only neocons and neoliberals would find this an acceptable method of governing the American people, mostly because they don't understand or do not support the US Constitution.

If the American people do not like such policies, they are free to vote the government out of office.

There is nothing preventing our government officials from listening to whomever they want when formulating policy.

There is a moral imperative but "free traders" cannot be considered very moral people as they fund slavery worldwide in their search for the lowest possible wages.

This is also why we have a supreme court that refuses to uphold private property rights, but "free traders" don't care if our Justices get their legal support from socialist European Union. You see, since the private property in question was stolen from a private citizen and given to a development corporation, it throws the door wide open for other abuses. This includes international corporations, even the ChiCom corporations can come here and get private land condemned for their use. They can do it because of the "free trade" agreements that say foreign nationals who come here to provide services must be treated the same as "nationals". (See Mode 1- Mode 4, WTO and GATT)

Have you seen the UN's agenda 21? Do you know what sustainable development means to the folks at the UN?
How do you feel about our leaders that have already signed up with these programs that are telling our government how things must be done?

To think that all this time I thought of myself as a globalist....

The truth comes out. You're a bigger phony conservative than John McCain.

Excuse me for the coarse language. I meant to say, "Piss off, newbie."
