Again post #14 - the critics of Robertson reminds me how FReepers were foaming at the mouth (Dane, Bayourod) over Tancredo's statement. I guess some people have trouble reading and would rather believe the spin from the MSM.
To: Reagan Man
I'm no fan of Robertson, but all he was doing here was offering an opinion, which many agree with.

Lets ask these people this question.
Suppose it's before 9/11 2001, and we got credible information that OSBL sent his goon hench men and ( ATTA ) to come here and run jet planes into the WTC.
And suppose the government here had a change to stop it by " TAKING OUT " OSBL , is this the same moral equating what this other person is saying as when the jihadist proclaimed a jihad on the USA and the rest of the world and on innocent people ?
And does this put the USA on the same ground as the terrorist if the USA would have had " Taken out " OSBL ?
Would it been morally wrong and unethical to " TAKE OUT " OSBL ?
IMHO,,,, NO !!
I don't understand how the MSM/Liberals/enemies of the USA can somehow put OSBL or Chavez on the same moral high ground, and condemn the USA in wanting to " TAKE OUT " OSBL or Chavez.
To: CROSSHIGHWAYMAN
I disagree. I think that the CIA took Kennedy out because of the Bay of Pigs fiasco.

Don't you think the reason that the MSM jumped on this is because they will be jumping on ANYTHING because of 'able danger'?
I agree with Rush, why didn't Robertson include Castro?
And I totally agree with Robertson on Chavez; the guy is as loony as the North Korean loon. In fact, I have to wonder if the whole world has gone mad except for us, (Bush) and (Blair).

This network hasn't cared one whit about any of the outrageous assassination threats that George Bush gets from members of the left. Pat Robertson is a mainstream figure in conservative politics. What mainstream figures in liberal politics have called for the assassination of Bush? This is a pansy-assed cop-out by Rushbo.

This network hasn't cared one whit about any of the outrageous assassination threats that George Bush gets from members of the left. And what if Pat Robertson called for the assassination of Bush? Would Rush still not comment? Is any outrageous comment by any conservative leader acceptable and not worthy of condemnation?

And never will.
The terrorists are pure evil. Hugo Chavez is pure evil. PresBush is addressing the issue of terrorism by prosecuting a WOT. I say Mr.President, lift the executive order that makes assassinations illegal and get rid of this crazy bastard.

Tonight on NBC Nightly News, Brian Williams said this and I quote directly :
" Is He Serious ? "
"Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson is suggesting that America
assassinate " another " world leader."
And then it was all Cindy , all the time except when Williams was talking about the decorated war hero, Chuck Hagel.
No word yet on whether Hagel spent Christmas in Cambodia.

You should be telling the feminist and the N.O.W. that... after all ? Abortion is their religion.

I almost never agree with Robertson, but he was right on here.
Ever since I joined Free Republic, I have seen (and I include myself in this) calls to invade/take out/kill every dictator and terrorist on the planet. The world immediately becomes safer when some individuals are either killed or imprisoned. We all know this, why should Robertson be condemned for saying this just because he happens to be an ordained minister (even though, to the best of my knowledge, and I live ten minutes away from his home, Robertson has not preached or conducted church services in decades).

Rush pretty much nailed this one. No Leftists ever got in a snit whenever a whackjob Leftist (I know...redundant) or an Islamofascist Imam (redundant again) issued a death threat against anyone. But one idjit named Pat Robertson goes off and *BAM*...front page spews! Your right about that, remember when that guy john (jon) I think stewart had on his tv show a picture of Bush's head through a rifle scope

Most of the 700 Club is news and conservative commentary, there is some religious content but it is certainly not the entire program.
