In a neighborhood of all boys in Coral Gables, Florida, I was the one who had in her yard the huge pithecolobium tree with a tree fort and thick hanging vines.
Looking much like this 
in my imagination, I would lead them up the ladder, dramatically swing down on the vines, and in the tall grass of the empty lot behind us, crawl through the 'jungle' to take care of some 'bad' natives...then reverse course back to the tree house to savor our courage and many successes...
Then there is our jwfiv, secretly playing his hero, 
...
To this day rather than apples, he strews in our Finest paths delightful, wonderful wurdz....and presents visual scenes that draw us into them and make us feel good.
