This 2003 federal homeland security report guess-timates over 101,000 illegal immigrants live in Nevada. A UNLV study asserts illegals contribute 16 billion a year to our local economy.

How is it possible for low wage earners to contribute $160,000 each to the economy? What a load of garbage.

And its not just 160K per employee, its 160k per person. For a family of 5, they would be pulling down an average of 800k/year. Amazing that so many journalists/academics think most readers will just accept their figures and not challenge their math.

And that's AFTER they've sent a couple of billion to the folks back home. These UNLV guys sound like some of the accountants I've worked for.
