Well, we wouldn't want that now, would we?
I expect that there's way too much interest in having a cheap labor force to keep Las Vegas' hotels and casinos running for pols to do anything.
I'm having trouble understanding how 101,000 illegals can contribute 16 billion a year to the economy of Las Vegas.

GWB....where are you?
What are they worried about? They have the presidents of both the USA and mexico on their side.
First step in combating the influx of Mexicans in the USA?
No more welfare for able bodied people! If you get welfare - you will work (to your best ability) for it.
No More government subsidized BEGGARS!
That includes corporate beggars also - the worst!
And what good is this going to do, even in the states where it's already happened? It makes for a good soundbite on Fox News, but is there any teeth to these emergency declarations?
They fear being thrown out of the country, unable to make money from jobs they find here in the states.
Well, cry me a river! They don't have a thing to worry about with Dubya in the White House and McCain in the Senate.

Without the illegals working as maids in the hotels/casinos, they wouldn't be able to operate...there's your 16 Billion. /t-i-c
'Bout time.
1. You're here in violation of immigration law.
2. You have no legal right to work in this country.
3. If you are working, you are doing one of two things; working for cash (tax evasion) or using forged or stolen IDs (also illegal).
And you "don't do anything wrong"?
Yep. UNLV sure puts an interesting spin on the stats.
How is it possible for low wage earners to contribute $160,000 each to the economy? What a load of garbage.
Talk.....talk.....talk.....
That is all we ever get is talk. They've been meeting forever about border issues, forming committees and holding hearings but years go by and illegals continue to pour across. The politicians are taking the taxpayer for a ride.
I'm curious, you've always said Napolitano was pro illegal alien and now she's declared a state of emergency and asked for money from the feds to help close the border. Why do you suppose that is?

Well, the reality is that the illegal Mexican labor force is NOT CHEAP. It is costing taxpayers a $100 BILLION A YEAR (or thereabouts) to support it!! Nobody ever seems to think of it that way -- so who is really benefitting?? The analysis is that taxpayers are really paying for the "savings" that businesses have. Support for illegals by our government means YOU are paying a heavy TAX so that companies and the government can benefit.
Think about that!!!
He's busy planning a media blitz in favor of illegals.
As usual........
