I wonder what a floor warden is? Each floor, or section of a floor, has a warden. They assume leadership to clear the floor and direct the evacuation of their floor in case of an emergency.

The person in charge of the floor. The fire alarms in all those skyscrapers went off.

I think the point is that some conservatives say or write things in a manner that feeds the negative stereotypes that Hollywood seeks to create. Substance is what matters, but style points are important, too.
Being a successful conservative in the arena of ideas requires more than believing the right things, but being able to communicate them without giving the opponents an easy opening.

Is there a power outage in the area? If it WAS a blown transformer I'd assume a power outage would follow. Just assuming here.

But .. here on FR .. those "some conservatives" you're complaining about ARE NOT CONSERVATIVES AT ALL - but people who come here to stir things up by saying ugly and stereotypical things they THINK conservatives say - because they already believe conservatives are biased toward certain issues.

The question should be "can they wrestle control of it from the mexicans?"

That's partly true. We've had an invasion of trolls lately, especially over the Cindy Sheehan story, who are fake conservatives trying to make us look bad.
I think the mods have done a pretty good job in spotting them and turning them into ashes.
But it would be wrong to suggest that all objectionable comments come from fake conservativeson a variety of issues. We do have our fringe element and they sometimes embarrass us.

Well .. that's also partly true .. I just don't like to see people get caught up in the troll-games. They've always been here, and I don't expect that will stop. And .. I agree the mods do a great job keeping the trolls at a minimum.

Roy Cohn was a homosexual and IIRC correctly (got it from Coulter's book Treason) he worked under McCarthy doing (scratching head) investigating? Was Cohn a lawyer maybe?
Darn brain cells.

I remember when the dinosaurs roamed the earth and I still went to school, we used to make little kids get out of the seats in the back of the bus and give them to us, back then, those seats were prime real-estate. :-) Hey, on your bus, wasn't the difference only five rows?
