Abbas: Gaza pullout due to "Palestinian Sacrifices."
..................
Yet more proof that one needs to be careful of what one asks for.
Point taken.
Thank you for explaining!
Don't think so?
Latest commentary I heard on Foxnews is that the Gaza "pullout" is going so well, they ( Israelis ) are moving up the schedule for removing West Bank Settlers as well..
Consider this....
There is a very good chance Iran is going to become a situation that "must" be dealt with...
Iran can do incredible damage to Israel with only a couple of nukes....
Iran doesn't really care if Israel retaliates..
You're talking about a fanatical Theocracy that worships death and "martyrdom"..
Israel will have to deal with the Iranian nuclear threat..
That will still bring retaliation albeit not nuclear..
There will be attacks by not only Hamas, etc.. in "palistinian" territories, but Hezbollah..
Hezbollah will attack not only from Lebanon/Syria/Becca valley, but from Jordan, and most probably from the Sinai..
Additionally, there may be sea-borne attacks from the Mediterranean..
Both threats must be dealt with simultaneously..
Israel has no choice..
By pulling in all settlers from Gaza and the West Bank, the PA effectively has their "palestinian state" to consolidate..
And Israel has pulled all it's citizens within their borders.. where they are more easily protected..
Be that as it may, once the PA has their "state", any Pali attacks can be characterized as an "act of war".. by one soveriegn state on another..
A state of war changes everything..
There is no "roadmap".. All bets are off..
Transfer begins..
Once the PA is a so-called "sovereign state" how can the Izzies lay hands on them and transfer them? Also, if they are "sovereign" doesn't that mean they can buy weapons from anyone including attack helos and F-16s? For defense only, of course.
