Unlike Semitic peoples, the Philistines did not practice circumcision and were therefore referred to as "foreskins" in ancient sources.

Now I'm confused, though that isn't much new.

When Saul demanded "100 foreskins of the Phillistines" as dowry from David for his daughter's hand...was it the actual foreskins removed from the Foreskin's member; or was it just 100 "Foreskins"?

Or is it a pun, and 100 Foreskins' foreskins?

Coulda been worse: recall Saul later tried to pin David to a wall by throwing a spear at him. (Saul was the king and therefore you couldn't take him to court...)

And you think YOU have in-law problems.
