Quite the contrast to the image Sheehan is trying to put forth.

Very good piece.
Notice how it's graded by readers very lowly (2.5 out of 5, based on 191 votes so far). Obviously the fringe left is very upset with this article so is trying to stuff the ballot box.

Be on your guard. They must be hunting for another way to smear him.

I voted on it and the total # of votes didn't change. Also it only allowed me to give it a 4.5!

I would say that Sheehan is a liar. A publicity-seeking liar who is at home in front of fawning hangers-on and others who admire her "professional victim" status. That lady needs to go away with whatever nonexistent dignity she has left.

Newsweak lies repeatedly about Bush in order to push their anti-war propaganda.
Fake polls, emphasis on troop dead and 'screw ups', false stories about abuse, and on and on.
Their circulation is in the toilet.
Their credibility has evaporated.
A token story about Bush will not make nice with Conservatives and Republicans who know better.

It told me that I rated it 5, but it didn't increment the counter. Oh well.

As the parent of a Gulf War Vet, I feel very blessed that he came home unscarred. If he had not come home, I hope I would have shown the same courage and grace that he did when he left to fight on behalf of the USA. To do less would have dishonored him.
In her public grief, Mrs. Sheehan's disdain for President Bush diminishes her son's honor. I feel so very sorry for her and that she is being exploited by the media in such a tawdry way.

It didn't change when I voted either. I think they are only counting the votes less than 3.

Agreed. Newsweek must be hemorraging subscribers after that Koran-in-the-toilet fiasco. No doubt that once their subscriber-levels are back to normal, they'll revert back to their Tired-Old-Media selves.

My guess is that they feel Cindy is going too far to be effective any longer.
The President is a Good man with a good heart. Anyone that claims otherwise has an agenda that is absent of Truth.
To: nwrep
Our president is meeting with more families than any other president ever has in time of war, to my knowledge.
Off topic:
This article states that apparently Able Danger puts Atta in Prague with an Iraqi intel officer.
I hadn't heard that before; has anyone else heard this?

"It felt like he could have been my dad," Owen recalled to NEWSWEEK. "It was like we were old friends. It almost makes me sad. In a way, I wish he weren't the president, just so I could talk to him all the time."
Most of the time the left just gets that Deer in the headlights look when someone speaks well of the president. They don't understand him, us, 9/11, or the war. I still don't trust them, my first instinct is that they're leading us on for a later article slamming the president. It would take years of positive articles to get me to subscribe again.
