I know, I think we do need a third party. In majority (as opposed to the proportional) system of voting trying to rely on the third party is extremely inneficient. You need to work within established two parties.

Yeah, I'm afraid you are right. I think it would take a major upheaval (economy really goes south, atomic war, etc) to bring about a strong third party and it would have to mean that one of the two established parties would have to die out somewhere down the road after that. I sure hope we get Tancredo or somebody like him for the Republican ticket, otherwise I will have to vote my conscience. I always did favor the proportional parliamentary system, at least third and fourth parties do get their representation.
