TOS is the only Trek series I do like, but I still give the slight edge to B5 - a well thought out extended story arc, credible characters who grew and developed, great looking aliens, cool subplots, etc etc.

TOS didn't take that approach, opting for an episodic nature. That makes comparisons difficult. Still, 4 strong of B5 seasons beats out TOS's strong two seasons and one dud season.

You are not yet a true FReeper, m'friend, if you have not uncovered the secret of the beeber.

"Teach me the ways of the beeber."

Both of you can bow to my "Firefly"

Perhaps this shirt might interest you?

If Firefly was given a fair chance, who knows how that show would have lasted...

Ever see the episode of SNL when Shatner was the host? They had a skit where he was speaking at the convention and he told all the Trekkies to "get a life and move out of your parents basement." Funny stuff.

BTW: Kirk rules!

Fandom refers to the first Trek series as Star Trek TOS (The Original Series).

LOL, I think that is funny, but social grouping along common interests is natural. If it inhibits health social interaction than anything can be a bad thing. Like drinking at bar, I would rather be a Trekkie than a drunk.
What is needed in this world is an open mind; we don't need to be the same. Call me a geek because I think Science fiction often presents the hope and wishes for a better future which sometimes is sometimes Utopian in nature.
