CRAWFORD, Texas - President Bush indicated Thursday that the new Iranian president will receive a U.S. visa to attend an annual United Nations gathering next month and welcomed the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency's warning to Tehran about consequences of its nuclear ambitions.
Bush, who met at his Texas ranch with members of his foreign policy team, also said that U.S. investigators still have not yet determined what role Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad may have played in the 1979 takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. Even so, Bush said, the United States has separate obligations to other countries as the host nation for the United Nations, which is headquartered in New York.

"U.S. investigators still have not yet determined what role Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad may have played in the 1979 takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran."
The moment his foot steps on American soil we will let him know that killing Americans is not a forgetable crime, and he will be sent to gitmo.
Giving him a visa, is the easiest way to arrest him on American soil.
We are still fighting the war on terrorism... right President Bush?

If he makes it on to US soil safely, I will puke.

He's a criminal and has stated threats to the U.S..
He should never be allowed to set foot on this soil...unless we cap him.

This distasteful person is a foreign head of state, like it or not. If we are ever going to get anywhere we have to deal with that fact.

We should ask the White House, who has more control over our borders, the UN or the USA? At this point, I think that is a fair question.

Once Ahmadinejad gets here, Carter should abduct him and hold him hostage.

Make him ride the subway.

Better check his backpack before you let him in.

I don't like it. We are dieing for the war on terrorism. Inviting our enemy to our home is like spitting on the graves of our dead. Our soldiers didn't die, so the terrorist leaders could come to NY and make demands.
Whatever happened to the axis of evil, or was Mr bush just full of $#!T?
Iranians are promoting men who killed Americans in TERROR ACTS, and Mr. bush is inviting them to America. It just doesn't make any sense... I'm sorry.

I assume that the guy is no fool, and would never set foot on American soil without full explicit immunity from prosecution for his crimes.

I hate to agree with you on this, but you're right. As a head of state he should be allowed in. We have done so in the past with other distasteful characters (Castro, Khrushchev) and survived.
Personally, I would like to see his head on a pike, but that's just me.

You are right on. Didnt the troops in Iraq just discover that the IED factor was directly linked to Iran????

Don't be sorry. You care about the welfare of our country, and it's only natural to become emotionally involved in situations such as these. Keep posting, sir. I've become enlightened by your posts.

The Pres no doubt is hoping to clear all this up without further war. He is obligated to try.

lol!
The breach happened a long time ago. We are beyond back rubs and reach arounds. We are fighting a war, and they are self-proclaimed on the side of terror.
