CRAWFORD RALLY UPDATE: UPDATED INFO ON LOCATION OF THE RALLY: (link to new thread)

8/12/05 Update:

Here I am again! I just got a call from the police in Crawford, and they have moved our location! (Are you believing this? ) I need to make another prominent announcement--and hope you will help one more time. What's your opinion about starting yet another thread? We already have two going, I think. Announcement: The Crawford police have changed our permit location.

We are now being asked to congregate in the Community Center parking, in the 1000 block of East 4th St.

This is very close to where they had located us first, so, hopefully, people who don't get this message can see us and come on over. Thanks for everyone's patience with all these changing "news flashes"

*********************

Just a few minutes ago, I spoke with a person at radio station KWTX AM. The person told me that their rally to support the troops has indeed been cancelled!

According to the person I spoke with, the management of the station cratered to people who were saying that they were attacking a "grieving mother".

Here's the phone number to the station:254-776-3900. Ask for the station manager.

We need lots of calls to that station. And now--more than ever, we need people in Crawford on Saturday.

THE RADIO STATION BACKED OUT, BUT THE HEART OF TEXAS CHAPTER SUPPORT OUR TROOPS RALLY IN CRAWFORD IS STILL ON!!

I plan to be there! I hope many of you will rethink your plans for Saturday and make the sacrifice to join me there.

GRRRRR. ABC News just gave her a 30-second soundbite on their hourly news. Every time she opens her months to spill her bile they broadcast it. MSM will probably broadcast her every word every hour until the end of the President's vacation.

Big surprise. It's almost as if Peter Jennings's death was pressing the "reset" button, and then they looked around, saw nothing new in the Rove thing, so they just started their war coverage from scratch in Peter's honor: Quagmire, and women who hate Bush. (The MSM love a "woman's angle".)Oddly enough they aren't focusing on Jamie Gorelick's contributions to 9-11.

They all want to be Walter Cronkite saying the war can't be won, and they all wanna be Woodward and Bernstein.

I'm sure the American people feel sorry for her, but they could care less about how she votes. This is all a non-event. Tomorrow, no one will even remember it. The left tries this type of stuff all the time, and people ignore them.

"1.If Saddam wasn't a threat to us, why as a gesture of peace, didn't he hand over to us Al-Zarqarwi and the dozens of al-qaeda fighters in Iraq before we invaded? While Al-Zarqarwi was indeed a terrorist he and his group at that time were not affiliated with al-Qaeda. They only "self joined" al-Qaeda this or last year. "

Sorry but Zarqarwi was part of Al-qaeda he was wounded in Afgahanistan and left to get medical attention in Iraq. He set up his own terror group, and last year he declared loyalty to Osama Bin Laden. But Zarqarwi was always affilated with al-Qaeda. Also after Zarqarwi and helped set up his own camp, he tried to engage in a plot to attack Western Europe with Ricin, killed an American diplomat in Jordan, and plotted to use a chemical bomb in Jordan. All of this happened before the war in IRaq started and under Saddam's nose, because the dictator didn't know that a wanted terrorist was receiving medical care at one of his state run hospitals.

Oh good grief! I used to work for KWTX

So did Dan Rather. ;o)

Crawford doesn't support this wacko loony bin Sheehan -- her supporters are the bussed in Left Coasters and assorted DU riff-raff (some of whom posted queries about how to "look" Texan so they would appear to be locals).

(Thanks for keepin' the boys, Lou.)

She's followed the left, and soon she'll be supporting those who killed her son.

She's not far from that point already. One of her main promoter/benefactors is Code Pink, who gave $600,000 to help the insurgents in Iraq. It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to speculate of some of that money could have been used to attack Casey and his fellow soldiers -- and is most certainly responsible for some of the casualties our troops have suffered.

Ironic.

Sadly so.

Where are we going to have the rally?

The protest without a permit rules seem to have been changed a bit, but they may still limit the area. The radio station may have had a special arrangement with the bank which may not be available anymore. Even if it was, you may not get any media coverage there without a large group.

The media will probably be around the Misled Mom and if they allow one side there without a permit, they would probably allow the alternative viewpoint somewhere in that area as well.

Just some points to ponder...

If press asks about Cindy Sheehan, the answer for FReepers at the rally is not to trash her. Instead, the answer is "Her son and the other fallen U.S. troops are heroes who died for a noble cause, the liberation of Iraq. We're sorry that she doesn't see it that way. She has a right to her opinion, especially considering what she's been through. We just disagree with her, especially after 8 million Iraqis stood up to the terroists by voting at great risk to themselves." Or something along those lines.

Sounds good to me.

BTW, the whole TXBubba/Blastus family will be present. Hope to meet more freepers there!

That's inaccurate.

The same one in which they found that British Intel copied the facts off someones term paper from the internet - complete with spelling and grammer mistakes. Sorry, no.

That rumor is false. To this day the British stand by their report.

You need to stick around here and do some learnin'.

I have a permit.

I'm waiting for the Crawford police to call me back with a place and I will announce it when I have it.

We need everybody who can possibly get there to do so. Our troops deserve our support.
