Blitzer is having Clinton on today so Clinton can get attention for his AIDS work in Africa. Blitzer will ask huggy bear questions about Hillary's 2008 presidential run, Clinton will ooze charm. Oh Blitzer might ask Clinton about the Roberts' nomination, they will navel gaze about Clinton's picks, but I don't think Blitzer will ask one tough question of Clinton. Not one.

I think that we here at FR had her exposed very well for th eClinton operative that she is. She is where this will end up as far as the commission is concerned. The head of the 9/11 commission stood by her and he should be casterized for stupidy and prosecuted!!

All roads lead back to Clinton's failure to do his duty. GWB is failing to protect the borders and we will pay the price for that. GWB will have to rethink his policy on the borders.

I guess Ashcroft doesn't think blowhard Tom Kean's remark that people should just "BUTT OUT" should be obeyed.

GOOD FOR ASHCROFT!!

Had blowhard Tom Kean paid attention to the obvious - that Gorelick should have been on the other side of the dias, this might have come out earlier!!!

No you are not stupid. The Clinton's hate of the military is what is all behind their failure to act.

This country is gone if somehow the Hildabeast is elected in 08.

I hope that Ashcroft and any others that know what did or did not happen in regards to terrorism during the Clinton administration will continue to speak out lour and clear.

answer to your # 20 question:

"Wednesday, July 13, 2005 7:03 p.m. EDT
Sandy Berger's Sentencing Postponed

Sentencing for former Clinton National Security Advisor Sandy Berger, who pleaded guilty in April to stealing and destroying top secret terrorism documents from the National Archives, has been delayed, NewsMax.com has learned.

Asked why Berger wasn't sentenced as scheduled on Friday, July 8, a Justice Department spokesman told NewsMax on Tuesday that Berger's sentencing has been postponed till September..."

"Am I stupid for thinking Sandy Berger's heist at the National Archives is connected to all this?"

No. Any who think otherwise are either brain dead or programmed. ;)

I have a question...say Burglar is involved in this....hasn't he already pled guilty and accepted a deal but not sentenced yet....is it too late to bring additional charges?

I think that may be a good explanation for why his sentencing was postponed...

I think Wolfie will also lob a nice softball to give Bubba a chance to spin Able Danger.

They can try, anyway :)

this is another 2004 column which further exposes the intentional incompetence of the 9-11 Commission:

..."A 1995 memo authored by Commissioner Gorelick forbade CIA and FBI agents from freely exchanging information. She instituted rules (later made department policy) that separated criminal investigations from intelligence gathering -- even though, as she admitted in the memo, such rules went “beyond what is legally required.”

The new rules prohibited any “’proactive’ investigative efforts or technical coverages” of terrorist suspects on U.S. soil. In other words, under the Gorelick memo our law enforcement and intelligence agencies were prohibited from any undercover work related to terrorist suspects.

We cannot know the effect of Gorelick’s rules. It’s quite possible that they hampered the ability of U.S. intelligence agencies to communicate the identity of two of the 9/11 hijackers to law-enforcement agencies, even after they had entered the United States. And that, in turn, may have been a partial cause of the 9/11 attacks.

The only way for us to know, at this point, is to find out what the Justice Department meant by these rules -- and that means the Commission must ask Ms. Gorelick about her memorandum."

I wonder if we can find out when Bubba's appearance was scheduled. If it's a last moment deal, then I think that would indicate that Bubba's pretty worried.

And Gorelick wasn't the only person on that panel with some pretty odiferous ties.

WHat happened with Berger's theft of documents anyway? Is he to be prosecuted?

Tom Kean was another poor choice by Bush. Bush apparently was oblivious to Kean's back-stabbing record when it came to non-RINOs. I believe Kean did all he could to torpedo Bush's chances of getting relected. That was Kean's agenda.

I'm sure any deal would've been contingent upon ol' Sandy telling the truth and nothing but the truth.

Guess what Sandy didn't do?

Oh stop!
'
If Blitzer even mentions "Able Danger" to Bill Clinton, it won't be a surprise to Clinton, and he will have a BS non-response response at the ready. But believe me, this interview is nothing more than a double dipping PR stunt. Blitzer needs viewers, and Clinton needs attention. Clinton wants legacy enhancing attention on his Africa Aids program, and to get it he will endure a few puffball questions about Hillary's presidential run. Blitzer's not about to ask tough, or unexpected questions, of Bill Clinton.
