Finally, someone writing about Jennings the way I remember him. I'm sorry he died, and that he died so horribly, but he was a terrible journalist, I don't care how many others sing his praises.
President Bush as always commented on Jennings today and as usual very thoughtful gracious comments and "Petah" always trashing Pres. Bush!
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
I'm with you.
The sad part is... the generation of my parents is passing. Jennings was my mothers age.
What a shallow statement. I am sickened to think of how sick he was until he took his final breath. What a horrid way to die like so many or those we do know personally who have died similar. Why cant we gloat today on how far MSM ratings are down? Why do we have to dance on the grave of the dead? It just seems so un-American.
The thing I remember most about Jennings is, the day of 9/11 attacks and he kept harping on the fact that President Bush didn't fly directly back to Washington, even though we didn't know then if another attack was on the way...
He really questioned President Bush's "courage" that day...and I never, ever watched him again...
so that may be why that is the thing I remember the most..the last time I watched him!
