The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

It's hardly a unique fashion statement for a mass transit rider: a Yankees-style cap, and a "New York" sweat shirt.

But the New York Police Department is teaming with British authorities to determine whether those items were worn by suspects in the London terror cases to send a "purposeful message" to the city, according to an NYPD officials.

David Cohen, the NYPD's deputy commissioner of intelligence, raised the concern earlier this week at a security briefing for business leaders at police headquarters in Lower Manhattan.

Utah highway "gone" after explosion

The explosion Wednesday afternoon left a giant crater - estimated to be 70 feet wide and 30 feet deep - on U.S. 6 about 60 miles south of Salt Lake City and forced the two-lane highway's closure in both directions.

warning
it has information that al-Qaida could try to use trucks to ram gas tankers,
Cable News Network reported Thursday.
The advisory said such an attack could happen in New York, Los Angeles or
Chicago between now and Sept. 19, CNN reported.
A Department of Homeland Security official told the network the
information is
being evaluated, but the source is of questionable reliability.
Another source told CNN the information isn't very credible.
The FBI advisory was sent to law enforcement agencies Wednesday, according
to
CNN.

Folks, I've got the jitters. No joke.

Just came back from walking Clyde. There is a pumpkin orange crescent moon out tonight. Peeked out after a pretty good storm. Also, a helicopter just passed overhead with two independently directed spotlights. Just as it passed both light's where turned off. I found that strange. Never seen anything like it before.

Your picture reminds me of an incident a few years ago on Cape Cod near Otis Air Force Base. They were doing some target practice on the base when one of the shells overshot its mark and landed in the middle of the main highway on Cape Cod. It exploded right in front of the car being driven by a WWII vet. For a minute the poor guy thought he was back in the war. It left a huge crater. I know it wasn't funny but the write-up in the paper was hilarious.

You are welcome AD....I was surprised at the info. that I was finding as I was searching tonight. Be prepared, stay safe and have a plan. I think that being informed is the best defense. Even though the MSM is obsessed with the Aruba info. (thanks freeperfromnj)....at least here at TM the raw info. that everyone finds seems to show patterns and allows those who choose to stay informed to be involved.

I never even heard about that Cape Cod incident. I have friends who are in the National Guard...and this type of "accident" like you described...seems to happen more than we would guess.

Actually I think the National Guard was involved in that incident. I'd like to say it happened about 5 years ago but you know how time flies. Probably it happened about 8-10 years ago. Ask your buddies in the Guard.

Yep...and don't forget the missing tanker truck in NJ and other areas over the last few years. Missing/stolen uniforms, explosives, municipal vehicles, propane tanks, emergency vehicles, identities, badges, munitions...etc. All having been reported, discussed and researched here at TM.
