Jimmy Carter: a bitter irrelevant man
Renew America ^ | Aug. 2, 2005 | Wes Vernon

So President Malaise has done it again.

Former President Jimmy Carter has trashed his country on foreign soil.

This man, whose blip on the historical radar screen is best known for the damage he was able to impose within a mere four years, says he is "embarrassed" because we are keeping terrorists locked up at Guantanamo Bay prison.

Most normal Americans — who are not under the spell of liberal academics and media types — will say we should keep the terrorists right where they are until and unless solid evidence emerges that clearly shows they pose no threat to the United States. And by the way, if anything, the American decision-makers at Gitmo should be more skeptical as to whom they see fit to set free. Some of the prisoners that have been released went right back to the front lines of the terrorists seeking to kill us.

I must disagree with the headline. Has anyone ever seen any evidence that Jimmy Carter is a man?

Saw a video of him on a "habitat for humanity" construction site. Pounded a 3.5 nail into a couple of 2 by 4s in one stroke. Pretty good for a 60+ plus guy ... he should stick to what DOESN'T embarrass him..

Carter is bitter because he had a failed Presidency. Now, who's fault is that?

Carter should shut up and just build houses and grow peanuts.

Jimmy maybe better off bragging about his own accomplishments. The entire interview could take place in under 30 seconds...

I'm embarrassed Carter was ever President of the United States.

The way Carter trashes America, you wouldn't think he was once its President. As a former Commander-in-Chief, his behaviour and pronouncements are outrageous and beyond comprehension.

Ok,ok, I admit it. I once had lascivious thoughts about Rosalind. I know, I know, I just couldn't help it. I kept seeing her slathered in peanut oil and drinking Billy Beer! OOOOohhhhhhhhhhhhhh Baby!

It's clear that he's mad at Americans for rejecting him.

He at least had a foreign policy (partied with our new ally Moyamar Khaddafi..)
