Hillary Clinton drives a garbage truck in new ad pushing her for president

Even though no formal announcement has been made regarding a bid for the White House, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., is starring in an animated commercial pushing for her to be the next president.

The 30-second spot, sponsored by HillaryNow.com, shows the former first lady dressed up as a sanitation worker dumping what appears to be loads of dung labeled as Bush's mess.

Voices are heard saying:

"We need Hillary to clean up Bush's mess."

"He's failed in Iraq." (as "Taps" is played)

"He's failed in the war on terror, millions without health care, and huge budget deficits."

"Hillary, can you help us?"

The senator, whose voice is really admaker Jeannine Ross, replies, "Sure. But it'll take me two terms to clear up this mess."

"We want to get the ball rolling – she can't go to New Hampshire, so I'm actually doing the work for her," Bob Kunst, longtime homosexual activist and head of HillaryNow.com told the New York Post.

He says the ads cost just $264 to run in the overnight hours from 1 to 5 a.m. on CNN Headline News for three days in New Hampshire's major cities.

While the former first lady is favored to win the 2008 Democratic nomination, she might have a hard time winning the White House.

The lastest tracking poll by Rasmussen Reports suggests 29 percent of Americans say they'd definitely vote for Hillary if she runs, while 37 percent say they'd definitely vote against her.

Regarding the cartoon commercials, Clinton spokesman Philippe Reins told the Post: "While their attention is flattering, Sen. Clinton remains focused on being the best senator she can be for the people of New York."

If she's wearing the Mao pantsuit, ankles don't have to be drawn - eh?

I am extremely glad that she is running for president BEFORE she runs for the senate again.

I wonder how many votes she will lose by people who don't want a 2 yr senator?

That's why she's delayed announcing her Senate race. She hasn't figured out how to answer the first question she'll be asked..

"...29 percent of Americans say they'd definitely vote for Hillary if she runs, while 37 percent say they'd definitely vote against her."

The other 34 percent slugged the pollster in the face or kicked him in the groin. He took those as "undecideds".

We need her to take things away from us -- on behalf of the common good, of course.

This whole effort seems a bit childish. Hope they keep it up.

I disagree, she'll slither right in. She's already doing alot of background work, using others getting all the dirty laundry out early, so it will be old news. I like a tornado to hit that arkansas storage unit with all the "real files". dream away

Gay Activist Launches 'Draft Hillary' Bid

(Miami, Florida) Bob Kunst wants Hillary Clinton back in the White House, this time as President. Kunst, considered one of the fathers of the American gay liberation movement in the 60s and 70s on Wednesday launched a national Draft Hillary campaign.

"The only candidate who's left who can possibly take down Bush - not in the violent sense - is Hillary Clinton," says Kunst.

The Polls show the 61 year old Kunst may be right. A recent survey showed her leading all of the declared Democratic contenders, but still trailing the President. A Clinton Bush match up would give Bush the presidency 48 - 41 percent. That is still considerably better than former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean would do. Dean would lose 45-34 percent, the survey found. The gap widens even more with the other Democratic candidates.

Nevertheless, Kunst believes in the nearly 15 months until election day Clinton top Bush. So do a lot of other Democrats. At Monday's West Indian American Day Parade in New York where she was a marcher, hundreds of people along the parade route yelled at Senator to throw her hat in the ring. Kunst was also at the parade with a placard saying 'Draft Hillary".

"She waved and smiled when she saw the sign," Kunst says.

Nine Democrats are currently seeking the Democratic presidential nomination. Kunst calls them "lackluster".

"She's the only Democrat who has both the clout and the notoriety, and the lightning-rod reaction, who can actually take on Bush," Kunst said.

Kunst said he believes the Democratic National Convention next summer in Boston will be deadlocked and that is when party members can get behind Clinton.

Kunst has been an activist most of his adult life. In 1977, the Miami man introduced the city's original gay rights ordinance and saw it unanimously passed on first reading 9-0 by the Metro Commission. He then faced an ugly referendum campaign that saw the ordinance repealed by voters.

In 2000 he unsuccessfully ran for governor of Florida as an Independent. His political action group The Oral Majority accuses President Bush of stealing the 2000 election from Al Gore, and has repeatedly dogged the Bush family, including the president's father, the first President Bush, with noisy protests.

Kunst says he is not discouraged by Clinton's insistence she will not be a candidate.

"I think Hillary has to make this statement, but I believe if the grass roots demands it, that it's a totally different picture ... From that direction, I think she's open" to the idea, Kunst said.

To gain grassroots support he has set up a website: www.hillarynow.com where people can sign a petition urging the former first lady to run

I liked the one Brit Hume showed on tv a few weeks back. Hill in fishnet tights doing the can can with Fat Teddy, et al. She's doomed.
