"Clinton made recess appointments including Bill Lann Lee"

This was on Fox yesterday. When Dodd was saying that Bolton would be damaged goods - Chris Wallace asked him what about all of the recess apppointments Clinton made - something like 137 (I new he made a lot - just didn't realize it was that many!)- Chris went on to say - no one said they were damaged goods (LOL!)- in addition, Fox had 3 pictures and Chris went through them (don't recall the other names right now).

> [c]linton made recess appointments including Bill Lann Lee...

"...as assistant attorney general for civil rights, when it became clear that Lee's strong support of affirmative action would lead to Senate opposition. Similarly, when the Senate did not vote on his nomination of James Hormel to be Ambassador to Luxembourg, because he was [a homosexual], [c]linton made a recess appointment. (Hormel thus became the first openly [homosexual] person to serve as a U.S. ambassador.) [c]linton was strongly criticized by Congressional Republicans for making recess appointments. Nationmaster.com(This site might be worth checking out.)

According to C-Span:

"[c]linton has now made 56 recess appointments in his 6 ½ years, the last being James Hormel as Ambassador to Luxembourg on June 4, 1999. President Bush made 77 recess appointments during his 4 year tenure, and in 8 years as President, Ronald Reagan made 243 such appointments. President Carter made 68 recess appointments over 4 years in office."

How many recess appointments did the impeached POS make in all?
