You are the BEST!!! And quick, too! I was pleasantly surprised to see the thread up so quickly. Thank you again for all you do BillF.
I was extremely disappointed at missing FReep 1 after 140 miles and 4 1/2 hours in traffic. I will never get on I-495 again!
As Joan and I were leaving for FReep 2, recruiters were leaving the office. One asked us what the demonstration had been about. He did not realize that the pink-o clan were there to protest him and the military. He found it hard to believe they would do this.
What a great night! I am encouraged every week as I stand for our brave heroes and their mission. Seeing our brave men and women waving and throwing kisses from the windows of the bus is proof that what we are doing is good and just.
I am so sick and tired of hearing, reading and poll watching, from the LSM, that the American people do not support our war efforts or our troops. One has only to stand at the corner of WRMC one Friday night to know this is not true! The patriots receive far, far more support from the thousands that pass WRMC every Friday night.
I am in the greater Richmond/Petersburg area. If anyone would like a free ride to one of the most amazing experiences you can have, please contact me to make arrangements.
Nice write-up, Teeman. :-)
You're my inspiration!
I'm not sure what brand of car it is. I think it is one of the high mileage cars.
I noticed in the photo that it's a convertible, but I wasn't really paying attention to the car itself.
Interesting speculation. I was thinking the same thing that maybe he worked for Congress.
Of course, if he is a congressional staffer for a liberal, I would think that it would be more embarassing that he was caught in photographs blocking someone's camera than simply going to an anti-war rally.
I tried to photograph him once or twice as he was coming after me, but I had apparently turned the camera off just before he started at me.
I wish I had kept the camera on and then clicked his photo right as we moved to about 12 feet in front of the line of police cars facing us and with officers in their front seats. I wonder what he would have done. Of course, the danger is that he would hit me, while the police were looking at their radio, coffee, etc. and miss seeing the event.
You and the DC FReepers are just AWESOME! 4 1/2 hours in traffic is grueling but God bless you for perservering. I know when you met the young soldier it made it worthwhile. You guys are the best!
(My son wore his dress blues yesterday and made his Momma cry just a little bit he looked so handsome.)
You had posted on the thread last week and I thought that you might be interested in this.
We missed you, but are glad that you're coming this week.
What is the EOS 20D?
We didn't really plan the interaction between tgslTakoma and green-shirt fascist. I told tgsl and teeman8ater of my interactions with the guy and that maybe we could all take photos from a distance and watch out for each other. I wouldn't have guessed that fascist would be so stupid as to do what he did. He was the brains of their operation.
Thanks for the kind words about the exchange with the fascist.
I just wish the leftists had not started chanting when they did right after the tall suit-wearing leftist had said "we will not be intimidated." Their chants prevented my response, "we're not here to intimidate you, we're here to laugh at you!"
Love it!!!!
You guys held the line, gave no slack, but did not threaten or break the rules for civilized protesting. I love you all. I do.
What an honorable group of people you are...thanks for giving your time and talents to this TERRIFIC project.
And that bus load of returning vets to Walter Reed Hospital that passed you by as you stood there....WOUNDED VETS...saw you...they SAW YOU...the felt the SUPPORT and that moment alone was, to me, what your protest of the HORRIFIC CODE PINKO jerks across the street is all about! I am SO GLAD that they saw the Pinko's, flipped them the bird, and then were able to turn their heads inside that bus and see the terrific signs and beautiful faces of supportative Americans who understand their sacrifice and are willing to hit the streets to PROVE IT!
God Bless, God Speed and EAGLES WAY UP THERE!
Bump
I rushed the report.
After finishing early am on Monday, I posted it right away. Usually, I would try to wait until after I've slept and then proof-read it again. I'm a terrible proof-reader and even worse when I'm sleep-deprived.
As a result, the clicking on a photo does not open a new window, although I thought that I had checked that before posting. More importantly, there are some errors in the text.
I'm glad that next Friday won't be a double FReep. Shorter, more managable report.
Great story that I forgot to include. I think that I was on the other corner when that happened.
Please, everyone who was there, add any stories or comments that you have. Our groups are getting so large that there is no way for me to know all that happened during the FReep.
That was so great!
I did send him a note about your FReep...but who knows how much mail he receives...and what he reads when he gets it...but it is worth a try........there are MANY Americans who would be OUTRAGED to know where and why the commie Pinkos are polluting and trying to harm our wounded vets mission!
Excellent point about C-Span. Plus, we can (and many FReepers do) get screen capture photos from C-Span broadcasts.
Like I said, he was the brains of the operation.
Why don't any scrawny, bespectacled liberal types ever try this with me?
My response would be lots of fun. ;-)
What a great, heart-felt post, especially about the young Walter Reed patient.
It was an honor to FReep with you.
I apologize again for the fact that the first FReep started late. Usually we start early, but that traffic was very bad, among the worst that I've seen.
Hope to FReep with you again sometime, but I realize that you have to travel very far to join us.
