Senators demand Roe be upheld [Dem hags despise Roberts]
The Washington Times ^ | July 29, 2005 | Charles Hurt

A group of female Democratic senators said yesterday that they will vote against Supreme Court nominee John G. Roberts Jr. unless he vows to uphold abortion rights.

Yesterday's comments exceed previous posturing by Democrats calling on Judge Roberts to state his position on settled cases, a practice that previous high court nominees have avoided. They also come closer than ever to establishing a single-issue "litmus test" for his confirmation. "Thousands of women a year died in back alleys," Sen. Barbara Boxer, California Democrat, said of the days before Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that established abortion rights.

In other words, adjudicate based on ideology and ignore the laws.

Look like Orin Hatch is going to have to say "Dumbass Questions" a lot during the confirmation hearings again.

isn't it illegal for a judge to predetermine a case before he gets the facts?

if so, aren't these hags contributing to the commission of a crime by threatening to not confirm ROberts until he viotates the law?

Our elected officials demanding that a judicial nominee guarantee bias and prejudice before hearing the facts on a matter before the justices. Their demand is backed by a threat to the future justice's position.

Seems to me that this is a classic case of judicial tampering with conspiracy and racketeering -- all from elected officials.

Our system is broke.

Boxer is worse than stupid. She's a total, obnoxious moron. She's a danger to the country.

Why doesn't somebody bitch slap her, or better, a good punch in the mouth and nose.

IF a nominee promised to vote to overturn Roe v. Wade, or said that there was no basis in the Constitution for such a decision but did not promise how he/she would vote, does anyone here think THIS Senate would confirm him/her?

In other words, if we can't own you and your decisions, we don't want you. Heaven forbid someone with a mind gets in.

I never realized how much stuff went on in "Back Alleys." Most places I've been, back alleys are usually where they keep dumpsters, sometimes there are parking spaces. I never see any facilities that look like they could be used for abortion mills. I'm sure Boxer has studied the subject thoroughly, however.

Our system is broke alright. It has gotten to the point that judicial nominees are asked political questions as if they are running for a legislative office. Rather than explore his understanding of the Constitution, Roberts will be asked where he stands on hot button issues such as abortion, civil rights, environment. The issues themselves matter not. What matters is how they relate to original, Constitutional intent.

The rats soil another institution.

Whatever happened to Motherhood. Todays liberal woman wants a career, they dont want stretch marks , they want to be married to each other and buy someone elses baby instead of producing one of their own, They want to work and farm out the kids they do have, they want the right to kill their unborn. The other day a mother stopped the car on the beltway and told her 4 y.o. to go make a life for himself, and drove off. Boxer would have been proud of her.

Nothing matters to liberal women today except their alleged right to kill their unborn.

You know when you change the wording to "Senators demand murdering innocent children continue" it has such a different ring to it...

"Thousands of women a year died in back alleys," Sen. Barbara Boxer, California Democrat, said...

Perhaps so, but if it's a numbers game, millions are now being killed.
