I was unopposed in the primary until the local rino's twisted or threatened someone to run against me.

They do not like what we are doing, they want the people to stay asleep so they can spend our money recklessly and give jobs to all their friends. They want an apethetic public, they don't want to be held accountable for their actions or lack thereof.

NY is full of them from the top down.

Ah...another reason it is very diffuclt to raise money. It is amazing how many people verbally support a candidate but will not contribute if it's a primary because they are afraid of "offending" the other person... (or fear that they will lose some clout if the other person wins) I know candidates here who can tell you who, what how much etc. someone gave to the opposition and they hold a grudge for years. How petty!

If you get past the primary bet you'll have a much better fundraising tool. (That's kind of where we were at the first time Mr. D. ran...he was the grassroots thing who went against the party establishment. It was tough!)
