A Day in the Life of President Bush - 7.27.05

President Bush went to Capitol Hill this morning, accompanied by Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert, to meet with and speak to the House Republican Conference and discuss issues and encourage support for CAFTA. Later he welcomed March of Dimes National Ambassador, Navy Anderson of Logan, Utah in the Oval Office, and then greeted the 2005 Boys and Girls’ Senators in the East Room. The Senators were selected to represent their states by the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary. Tonight the President will be traveling to Ft. A.P. Hill in Virginia to address the Boy Scout Jamboree meeting there, to voice his support of the Scouts, and his thoughts and prayers for the families of the leaders who were killed yesterday.

Not too likely, snugs. Flip flops are standard apparel for High School and College girls now.......even with dress clothes.

Because these are mostly all black, I'm thinking they were told what kind of shoes to wear with their outfits.

TO ALL.........Regarding the Boy Scouts and the tragedy........one of the men electrocuted was the brother of a friend of mine.

In a way it that is sad but on the other hand if it ensures they are all dressed similar it looks better both in the photos and also ensures that they are dressed respectfully which hopefully will teach them something for the future.

Actually, I think it might have been hotter in No Dak than it was here.

Last night, I drove through the worst rain I've ever driven in on my way home from Akron in that clash of heat and cold in the atmosphere.

But I saw some of the most incredible displays of lightening that I've EVER seen in my life! VERY cool!

The temp dropped 30 degrees, so we are A-OK now.

Thanks for asking about dad, he had a barium enema on Monday gets the results in about 2 weeks left him feeling very tired and weak but he is gradually getting his appetite back. I gave him more comfort food for evening meal tonight, ham, egg and oven chips followed by yogurt and then a bit later ice cream and finally cheese and biscuits.
