Cops have busted a man they say is the most persistent pedophile in memory — a super-predator so obsessed with stalking teen boys that he did virtually nothing else.
Pedro Torres, a hulking Lower East Side resident, had no job, no pals and no hobbies other than surfing the 'Net day and night, combing chat rooms to find underage victims, then driving to their home states and coercing them into having sex with him, cops allege.
Torres logged 862 chats with potential victims and likely hooked up with about a dozen kids in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Massachusetts and Georgia, cops say.
The youngest boy was just 9, they say.
"I haven't seen anything like this in our office, and I've been in Special Victims for more than 10 years," said Detective Edward Tacchi.
Using Web names "Princo" and "V6JO," Torres would meet boys through chat rooms on AOL, Yahoo! MSN, Netscape and the gay site M4M, establish they were in their early teens, and claim to be in his 20s.
The 6-foot, 250-pound Torres was actually 35, unemployed and living with his mother in the Lillian Wald Houses on East Sixth Street — until she kicked him out a month before his arrest in January because "she got tired of finding him in the house with boys," said Tacchi, noting that she never saw any sex in the apartment.
At least three victims have been found in New York — one each in Queens, Manhattan and The Bronx — but Torres, who survived on public assistance, didn't stop at the city limits, cops allege.
He would get into his 1991 blue Lincoln Town Car and hit the road, crisscrossing the eastern seaboard and keeping in touch with the kids via two cellphones.

Sometimes,in this permissive society, where the liberal pandering to the 'If it feels Good..., Do It' philosophy appears to reign supreme we reap the fruit of the seeds we sow.
In instances like this, after one is able to determine, beyond ANY shadow of a doubt the culprit...there is but one solution that has a finality to it.
