Behind PETA's lettuce curtain
Washington Times ^ | 07/23/05 | Bob Barr

Here's what the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals wanted you to see this week: two Playboy Playmates -- clad only in lettuce -- handing out vegetarian hot dogs on Capitol Hill Wednesday as cameras clicked away.

Here's what PETA didn't want you to see: two PETA employees attending a court hearing Tuesday in North Carolina on charges they killed and dumped 31 cats and dogs in a shopping center's trash bins. While the court case is pending, the controversy swirling around PETA and associated animal rights extremists, is again Page One news.

The article talks about animal testing but what does that have to do with the killing of animals PETA took from the shelters? My theory is that PETA was dismayed by the shelter's placement rate and their real agenda is that an animal is better off dead than owned by a human being. What other explanation is there?

They don't give a damn about animals. They are anti-capitalists,the true agenda is to shut down production, development and research.

The animal protection scam is a front.

One of Peta's funniest spokespeople is Pamela Anderson. She goes on and on about animals but has had repeated breast-implants. Guess how they test those, Pammie?? I would hazard a guess the Playmates in question are probably similarly augmented.

Ok.

WHAT did PETA do with these animals before that they now have to dump them?

I've seen gossip articles on the Net, http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=euthanized+pets+food&btnG=Google+Search , they lead me to think PETA made money SELLING dead animals to companies that make pet food. BUT, I don't know how to verify these gossip articles.

Why does PETA now have to dump? They couldn't have been doing this all along, we would have heard about it before.

Has anybody else here seen photos of Pam before all the surgury? I remember seeing her in a Canadian beer ad, and she was really gorgeous. Natural, girl next door looking. Since then, she's had all sorts of cosmetic surgery (not just on her breasts), and I think that she looks terrible. I'm not kidding here. I know that alot of guys think that she looks great (otherwise, she wouldn't be in all the mens magazines), but I really think that she looks BAD.

I guess I just don't get it. And I think that maybe that's a good thing.

two Playboy Playmates -- clad only in lettuce

An earlier story posted here included links to photos showing they were clad in rather modest bikinis made of fabric styled to look like lettuce.

I don't know the answers to your questions, but I heard the same rumors when I worked for the local paper in Norfolk,Va.back in the 80's.

As you know,Norfolk is where PETA has it's national hq.The Virginan-Pilot has done some good investigative reports on PETA over the years.

Oh,and by the way,may all your days be fuzzy(or is it furry?) :^)
